Before download
Stabilize the computer first.
- Finish pending Windows updates and restart before installation.
- Confirm enough free space for both the downloaded archive and extracted folder.
- Use a Windows account you control with the permissions required for installation.
- Close unrelated phone tools that may hold USB ports or driver services.
- Create a dedicated local folder for the current package and support logs.
Do not connect a customer device during this stage. First confirm the tool can be downloaded, extracted and opened on its own.
File integrity
Start from the developer route.
Source rule:
Open the download route from the developer domain and avoid repacked installers, unknown mirrors and links forwarded without context.
- Open the current download centre guidance.
- Follow the developer file route.
- Save the complete package locally.
- Extract the archive fully; do not launch from inside ZIP or RAR.
- Keep the included files together unless the current developer instructions say otherwise.
Security prompts
Record first; change settings second.
If Windows or security software blocks a file, record the full detection name, affected path, file source and publisher information. Reconfirm the source and current developer instructions before making a narrow exception.
Do not disable protection permanently or exclude an entire drive simply to make a package open. Broad exclusions can hide an unrelated infection and make later troubleshooting harder.
Drivers
Match the driver to the connection mode.

Physical connection
Remove basic USB uncertainty.
- Use a known-good data cable, not a charge-only cable.
- Prefer a direct motherboard USB port over an unpowered hub.
- Keep the device battery at a safe level for the intended process.
- Check Device Manager before and after connection so you can name the changing entry.
- Do not begin a destructive operation while detection is unstable.
First launch
Verify account and software before device work.
- Open the tool without a device connected.
- Confirm the current version and successful account login.
- Record any exact update or login message.
- Check the target model and operation in the current tool state.
- Only then connect the authorized device in the required mode.
