Prepare Windows
Install current Windows updates, confirm free disk space and use an administrator account you control.
Windows setup
Install the tool first. Connect the device last.
A clean setup separates software extraction, account login and device-driver testing so you can identify the exact failure point.
Installation sequence
Follow one controlled path.
Download from the developer source
Save the complete package from file.unlocktool.net to a stable local folder.
Extract the full archive
Do not launch from inside ZIP or RAR. Keep all included files together in the extracted folder.
Review security alerts
Record the detection name, publisher and affected file. Do not blindly disable protection or add broad drive exclusions.
Install the required driver
Use the device brand, chipset and intended connection mode to choose the driver path below.
Launch and sign in
Open the tool, confirm the current version and verify the licensed username before connecting a device.
Connect in the correct mode
Use a known-good data cable and direct USB port. Confirm the expected Windows device entry appears.
Driver routes
Install only what the workflow needs.
The exact package can change. Prefer the developer file server or original device/chipset vendor source.
Samsung USB
For supported Samsung download-mode, ADB or service connections. Match the Windows device entry before starting.
MediaTek VCOM / Preloader
For supported MTK preloader or BROM workflows. The port may appear only briefly during connection.
Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader
For supported Qualcomm EDL workflows. Seeing port 9008 does not itself prove a loader or operation is supported.
Apple connectivity
Use current Apple device support components and confirm Windows detects the device in the required state.
Unisoc / Spreadtrum
Use the driver required by the current UnlockTool workflow and exact platform. Confirm the detected port before action.
ADB / Fastboot
Use only when the device state and supported operation require it. Authorization and boot state still matter.
Installation FAQs
Before changing Windows settings
The setup will not open.
Confirm extraction completed, review the exact Windows or security message, check the current package source and try the supported Windows account permissions.
The phone is not detected.
Check cable, direct USB port, connection mode, driver entry and Device Manager status. Reconnecting repeatedly without the correct mode will not solve a driver mismatch.
Can I install every driver package?
Installing unrelated packages can create conflicts. Start with the driver required by the exact brand, chipset and connection mode.
Does port detection guarantee the operation?
No. Port detection confirms a connection layer only. Model, loader, firmware/security and operation support must also match.
